CCBRS Mission
The Canadian Conference for Business Research Students (CCBRS) exists to:
- Foster a national community of PhD scholars across Canadian business schools, enabling meaningful academic exchange and collaboration.
- Promote interdisciplinary thinking by providing a space where emerging researchers from all business domains can explore shared challenges and innovative solutions.
- Enable impactful networking that leads to co-authorships, cross-institutional projects, and long-term scholarly partnerships.
- Celebrate student leadership by being a conference led by the research students, for the research students.
- Provide an annual thematic platform that addresses contemporary issues (like AI, sustainability, equity, etc.) to anchor discussions and drive relevant, cutting-edge business research.
- Strengthen Canada’s academic fabric by uniting PhD scholars in a uniquely Canadian academic setting rooted in collaboration, diversity, and research excellence.
